Alexandre Kotcherguine

Managing Director

Alexandre is Managing Director of DCS. He is a seasoned direct investments professional and former banker with over 25 years of experience across developed and emerging markets, having started his career with UBS (Switzerland) in 1994.

He specialises in governance and operations of financial institutions and industrial groups, offering deep expertise in strategic leadership and organisational development. Since 2011, Alexandre has led DCS, advising clients on corporate governance, business development, and operational efficiency.

Recognising the transformative potential of blockchain technology, Alexandre has been involved in the Web3 space since 2018. In 2021, he earned a Master's degree in Blockchain Technologies from Zigurat Institute of Technology / University of Barcelona. He also holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Canada, and a BA in Economics from Brock University, Canada.

Mohamed Al-Balawi

Head of Design

In 2021, Mohamed joined Direct Capital Solutions as Chief Design Officer. In this role, he has been pivotal in overseeing and driving the Polity Network project, leveraging his multidisciplinary expertise to deliver impactful design and product solutions.

Mohamed is dedicated to empowering startups and businesses to create meaningful digital products, drawing from a rich background in product strategy, marketing, and user experience design. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, specializing in Marketing Management, and a Master’s degree in Digital Product Management from Nuclio Digital School, he seamlessly blends academic knowledge with practical expertise.

For over 8 years, Mohamed has partnered with early-stage startups across industries such as FinTech, Gaming, and E-Commerce. His commitment lies in crafting innovative strategies, designing user-centric products, and guiding startups through their growth journeys.

Rachel Tashlitski

Chief Operating Officer

Rachel is Chief Operating Officer of DСS. Her responsibilities, besides other, include liaising with servicing banks and third-party service providers in all jurisdictions where DCS operates as well as assistance to DCS customers with project-related administration and compliance matters.

Prior to joining DCS Rachel had over 10 years of experience in investments, financial markets and start-up projects in various managerial, operational and administrative functions, including as COO in an independent investment advisory firm and in international portfolio management company with more than $125 million of assets under management.

Rachel graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, USA (Tel-Aviv branch, Israel). She has also taken a blockchain course at the University of Nicosia (Cyprus) (UNIC 2020).
